Samples of our materials are available on request. These can range from small credit-card sized samples for you to see the colour and feel the texture and weight of a material, to larger A4+ sizes, for you to trial and test. For product approvals, we can provide or half and full-size boards.
All boards must be stored indoors, on a flat, dry surface, away from direct sunlight. Temperature variations must be avoided during both transportation and storage. Do not stack heavy loads on top of tooling boards as this can cause damage.
Properly storing your tooling boards will help to ensure that they remain in a good condition while awaiting use.
To calculate the amount of adhesive you require you will need to measure the total surface area you need to bond together. Consider any overlap and the width of your joints in this calculation. As a general rule, adhesive coverage is expressed in terms of square meter area per litre.
Depending on the product you choose, and the porosity of the substrate, the approximate coverage will vary. You can find guide figures of the coverage for each product on our technical datasheets.
If you are unsure, our team can help you to calculate the amount of adhesive required for your project.
Selecting the right sealer for your project will depend on your desired outcome and requirements. We have a range of sealers including both solvent and water-based products, that offer different characteristics, from a high gloss finish to a quick drying time. We even have an aerospace approved sealer if that’s what you need. Any sealer should be internally tested and approved prior to use.
We are happy to recommend a specific sealer to you based on your project requirements and the tooling material you have selected.

Left-over tooling boards that you anticipate needing in future should be stored indoors, on a flat, dry surface, away from direct sunlight. Temperature variations must be avoided during both transportation and storage. Do not stack heavy loads on top of tooling boards as this can cause damage.
If you have smaller projects or applications where precision isn’t critical, you can repurpose them. Otherwise,
left-over materials should be disposed of as solid waste, following your local regulations and guidelines.
